Brazil. Native from Cerrado soils at CPAC/EMBRAPA; collected from red-yellow latosol, pH 4.8-5.0 with 1 ppm available P. Maintained in pure culture in soil mix with dark red latosol and washed sand 2:1, pH 5.8, 3 ppm available P.
