Kenya, Africa. Baringo, NW of Nairobi (0 deg. 51 N, 36 deg. 10 E). 250 m elevation. From a semi-arid site with a mineral soil low in nutrients. Collected from under mature Acacia tortilis.

Kevin trapped the original soil on Vigna unguiculata and Pennisetum typhoides. According to Kevin the trap contains a Glomus species and G. etunicatum. Low to moderate number of spores produced.
