West Virginia. Reclamation site near Logan, WV. Part of coal strip-mine operation. Seeded previous year in ryegrass, with the plants looking fairly good.

Failed in generation 19 after reseeding twice. Many spores of G. intraradices; appears to be the only fungus present. WV114-2 checked on 10-20-98 changed name to G. claroideum ( G. occultum and G. brasilianum also).
