Curator Canadian Collection of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi, Ottawa Research and Development Centre, Ontario

The research performed within the laboratory of mycorrhizal symbiosis aims at improving knowledge about the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and understanding how to maximise their benefit to plants and soil fertility. In order to achieve these research objectives, the lab activities are carried out by AAFC technicians Claudia Banchini and Sylvie Séguin, the postdoctoral researcher Dr. Vasilis Kokkoris (co-supervision, Dr. J. Dettman and prof. N. Corradi, UOttawa) and the master's student Dane Goh (co-supervision prof. A MacLean, UOttawa). Over the long-term, this research program will contribute to the transition towards sustainable agriculture.
